In The Weeds

4pm to 6pm
$20 per person

$15 for Season Partners/Enthusiasts

What is a weed? Why is it growing in my garden? And what can I do about it? In this two hour hands-on class, we’ll get to know the weeds of Dharma’s Garden as individuals contributing to a shared ecology. We’ll consider weeds not as pests to exterminate, but rather as useful plants that can improve the health of your garden and your body.

Instructor, Nicole Goodman

Nicole Goodman started learning the names of Rocky Mountain wildflowers at the age of eight when her grandfather handed her a backpack and a field guide and sent her into the aspen forests of Marble, Colorado with instructions to return for lunch with discoveries to share. To this day, Nicole still takes building relationships to plants and returning for lunch very seriously. Nicole has been farming in Boulder County for five years, and is currently the Manager of Crops and Community Engagement at Drylands Agroecology Research, an agricultural non profit based near Lyons, CO. She loves to cook, eat, dance, and tell stories.
