Highlander Tours
Inverness to Galloway
Now known widely as "Andy The Highlander," Andy was a self-employed electrician who had always dreamed of acting. When the call came for Outlander he jumped at it, spending about sixty days on set across Seasons 2 and 3, with further involvement in Seasons 5 and 6. His wife and three children have filmed on multiple episodes as well, earning the family the nickname "Scotland's Most Outlandish Family."
After Outlander he invested in kilts, swords, muskets, targes and a full Jacobite outfit, and his video on how to wear the plaid went viral with 5.3 million views in its first thirty days. Highlander Tours grew from there, guiding travelers to Scotland's castles, distilleries, Pictish stones and prehistoric stone circles — and Andy still travels with spare plaids and prop weapons so guests can join in.
Andy takes the group from Inverness out to the Outer Hebrides, across Skye, and south through Glasgow to Galloway.

Blue Badge Guide
Edinburgh to Speyside
Sean carries a Blue Badge, the highest guiding qualification in Scotland, and is accredited to guide the whole country. He holds a First Class Honours MA in Celtic Civilisation from the University of Aberdeen and taught history and geography before guiding full time. He is a trained storyteller as well, with certificates earned in the Aberdeen ballad tradition.
His way of working is to tell a place through its geology, its history, and its folk tales at once, so that you leave with a feeling for it rather than a list of facts. Archaeology, myths and legends, and Outlander are among his listed specialties.
Sean guides the first stretch of the journey, from Edinburgh north into Aberdeenshire and on to Speyside. Sean is born and raised in Aberdeen, and grew up around many of the stone circles we will be visiting. An Aberdeen-trained scholar of Celtic civilisation, leading you through the recumbent stone circles of Aberdeenshire.
