As of September 2025, our Land Acquisition Campaign is not yet complete
SAVE THIS FARM!
Help us own the land FREE & CLEAR!……
Please consider making a PLEDGE of any amount (either by the end of this year, and/or by September of next year) or if you’re inspired to give right away... you can DONATE outright towards our FREE & CLEAR campaign.
BACKGROUND:
In late 2019, the land that Dharma’s Garden had rented and operated on for 5 years was put on the market by the family who had owned it for generations. Miraculously, the community came together to SAVE Dharma’s Garden, and by the autumnal equinox of 2021…..over 640 families contributed $4.5 million so our nonprofit could purchase the land and get it off the market.
Some of this $4.5 million was in the form of low interest loans from families in the community. These loans are due in the autumn of 2026. As of September 2025, we need to raise $1.5 million in order for the nonprofit to OWN THE LAND…..FREE & CLEAR!!
CURRENTLY:
We're coming together to help Dharma’s Garden reach a major milestone: owning the land free and clear! Please consider coming to one or more of our EVENTS the week of Sept 16 - 21, including our Farm Fancy Fundraiser on Sept 18th, 2025, or if you’re inspired….please DONATE outright towards our FREE & CLEAR campaign.
If you were one of the more than 640 families who have already contributed to this community-owned vision, we hope you will help us FINISH this monumental community task by making a NEW pledge!
And if you weren’t part of the magic in 2021, we invite you to join the groundswell of this community movement and make a PLEDGE of any amount towards our FREE & CLEAR campaign!
Let’s finish what we started!!
WHY SUPPORT DHARMA’S GARDEN?
Our little farm is unique in many ways....
...we built a Stone Circle and dedicated it to the peaceful gathering of community and to the fertility of the land.
....we offer our veggies at our weekly market with a DONATION-BASED model of Give What You Can, Take What You Need so that no one is excluded from getting food based on their financial capacity.
....we operate our farm WITHIN the city limits, believing that agriculture belongs in the heart of our cities, not just on the outskirts.
....we leave space for the wild on our land, trusting that the wild and the cultivated
can co-exist and inform one another.
....we are devoted to long-term stewardship of this land from a holistic point of view – including careful management of grazing animals, deliberate cultivation of soil health, mindful use of water, purposeful selection of plants and trees.
....we have a PLAN for passing this land on to FUTURE GENERATIONS so that they may know the beauty of this place and find true connection with the land and one another here.
Please help Dharma's Garden own the land FREE & CLEAR!
